Make your own adventures 10'6" classic wooden sailboat in Sooke, British Columbia for sale

Classic beauty hand built sloop, traditional Iain Oughtread 'Puffin' design. The boat is 2 years old and was built by me to teach myself to sail. Each plank hand cut from BS1088 marine ply mahogany and solid mahogany transom with copper fasteners and West system epoxy, Douglas fir thwarts and braces and oak fittings. The mast and spars are all from one piece of old growth Douglas fir. The main and jib sails custom made by Leitch & McBride in dacron with 1 reef point, tell tales and reinforced where necessary. Dagger board and lifting rudder pull up easily for beaching. The oars hand made from a 2 x 4 building stud which was convenient at the time!
The bow and stern are packed with polystyrene for safety, additionaly 2 inflatable bags below the thwarts ensure that the boat will float and can be bailed out when totally full of water. This is a great safety feature, particularly for novices or kids.
This is a lovely little boat which fits in the back of a pick up. Ideal for scooting around the bay or exploring the islands, learning to sail and kids adventures on the lake and would be a handsome addition to the dock. A real head turner which gets loads of compliments wherever she goes.
The price does not even cover the cost of the materials and is very fair so I am not interested in haggling. She is only for sale because I have since moved on to a 25' boat and I need the space in my shop for the next project.
